Get your disc golf game on! Next Saturday for Habitat and Second Harvest.


Disc golf tournament to benefit area charities
The St. Simons Island disc golf course will be the venue of the third annual Ice Bowl at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 26, to benefit Habitat for Humanity and America's Second Harvest Food Bank in Brunswick.
Ice Bowl disc golf tournaments are held around the nation in January, February and March to help charities raise funds and collect nonperishable food.
The entry fee is $20 per player and three nonperishable food times. Each player will get a bag with a golf disc, a mini disc and other souvenirs.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. at the course at Gascoigne Bluff followed by a players' meeting at 9:45. First round play of 18 holes will begin at 10 a.m. and the second round at 1 p.m. Each player may use only three discs during the tournament.
The event will be held rain or shine.
